I have made countless changes messing with modules and have yet to cause an issue I couldn't put back.Īnyways here goes a brief tutorial on how to use FORScan:įirst things first. As long as a module does not loose network connection to the CAN bus you can always change the data back. If you start the vehicle, with invalid or incompatible settings, it is possible to screw something up. Thus you can easily change something back if you make an invalid or incorrect change. On modules like the BCM, most things should be tested while the car is in ON, but the engine is NOT running. Most of these changes are easily reversible.
